THE DENIM COUCH

Hand-constructed couch and ottoman set. This project was focused on revitalization. There is a specific essence that recycled goods have, and even more so when you can still feel and see evidence of those goods' past life. Specifically, with this project, I spent months obsessing over the idea of turning jeans into a couch. Taking an object that people lived lives in with no limits, until their innate purpose was fulfilled, and then resetting that lifecycle. Turning something designed for motion into something designed for stillness.
